How Does EECC Support ECO?
What does it take to ensure that critically ill mothers and children receive the care they need, wherever they are in the health system?
At the 6th World Sepsis Congress, EECC Global Co-Founder and Chair, Tim Baker, joined a panel discussion on Emergency, Critical, and Operative (ECO) Care Pathways in Mother–Child Settings. His contribution focused on a question that is becoming increasingly important in global health policy: how does Essential Emergency and Critical Care (EECC) support ECO?
As countries work to strengthen emergency, critical, and operative care services, EECC provides the foundation that makes these systems effective. By ensuring the early identification and essential treatment of critical illness across all hospital settings, EECC helps bridge the gaps between emergency care, critical care, and operative care, improving outcomes for patients when every minute matters.
In this session, Tim explores the relationship between EECC and ECO, why foundational care should be at the heart of health system strengthening, and what this means for mothers, children, and critically ill patients worldwide.
